Day 1:Cochin to Munnar
Pick up from Cochin and drive to Munnar. Visit Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, Tea Plantations, and Spice Garden on the way. Reach Munnar and rest for the day at the hotel.
Day 2:Munnar
Suggest starting at 9 am for sightseeing with Eravikulam National park visit followed by Tea Museum. Post lunch, we visit the Mattuppetty dam, Echo point, Kundala Lake, Viewpoints, Pothamedu view point and Botanical Garden.
Day 3 :Munnar to Thekkady
In the evening, you can go for optional activities like Kathakali, Elephant ride, Elephant bath, Tribal dance, Musical fountain, and Ayurveda massages. All the activities have separate entrance fees.
Day 4 :Thekkady to Alleppey Houseboat
Thekkady to Alleppey would take 4 hrs hence suggest starting by 8 am to reach the houseboat by 12 – 1 pm. Houseboat will be stopped for lunch for 1hrs with the cruise till 5:30 pm. The boat will be anchored till the next day morning,with a 1-hour cruise in the morning for check out at 9 am.
Day 5 :Alleppey to Kanyakumari
We will start from Alleppey in the morning and drive to Kanyakumari. As Alleppey to Kanyakumari takes a minimum of 9 hours of travel, we need to start latest by 8 AM. We can watch the sunset if we reach early (with less chance) and stay at Kanyakumari.
Day 6 : Kanyakumari to Kovalam
On this day, we can watch the sunrise/sunset (depending on climatic conditions) and visit Kanyakumari temple, and Vivekananda rock (8 am to 4 pm). Drive to Kovalam in the afternoon and check in to the resort.
Day 7 : Kovalam to Trivandrum or Cochin drop
It is advisable to book a return flight or train from Trivandrum to save traveling time to Cochin. For the Trivandrum drop, sightseeing continues at Trivandrum. For the Cochin drop, drive back to cochin (7hrs).
